1940’s Tuscan Fine Bone China Tea Duo - Roses On Trellis C7903G Art & CraftThe business was established in 1898 as a partnership between Richard Hammersley Plant and his brother Simon Lucas Plant at the Tuscan Works, Longton, Stoke on Trent. In 1914 the brothers had become successful enough to purchase the Tuscan Works outright and became a Ltd. in 1915. In 1966 the business was taken over by Wedgwood and renamed Royal Tuscan. In 2006 Wedgwood closed the firm and discontinued production at the Tuscan Works. This item is a

This barrel will have been manufactured between 1947 and 1950
unfortunately the gravy / sauce boat is no longer with the item
which has a velvet like/felt base and cardboard lift on or off cover
Booths and Colclough Ltd were bone china manufacturers at Tunstall and Longton
the duo is in excellent condition
The set consists of a rectangular fine porcelain sandwich/snacks tray with embossed handles and black trim along with 6 identical matching square shaped plates
